This episode is an ElevenLabs voice-over of “The American Revolution: A Revolution Unfinished,” an essay I originally published on the Fourth of July on my Substack, 1Dime Review. Rather than abandoning the language of liberty and popular sovereignty to the right, I argue that the left should reclaim the unfinished democratic tradition running from Paine and Jefferson through abolition, labor, and civil rights, and complete the promises that America’s managed political system was designed to contain.
